Inside the Byodoin Phoenix Hall, a World Heritage Site

Byodo-in Temple was designated as a World Heritage Site and Cultural Heritage Site in 1994, and is a standard spot for sightseeing in Kyoto.
There are many foreigners and group tourists such as school trips, and the impression is that it is always crowded, so it is difficult to take pictures that are convincing because people are reflected in it, and it takes a long time to see the inside of the Phoenix Hall. It is also a high spot.

This time it was a visit that also served as a job, but due to the epidemic, it was a quiet and solemn precinct.
Although it was barely enough time, I was able to see the inside of the Phoenix Hall for the first time.

The main hall and the Amida Nyorai statue were built during the Heian period. It is a precious and wonderful building and work of art that has been in existence for more than 1000 years. I was able to experience the wonderfulness of the work of my predecessor up close.
